Fitness and health has always been a part of my life in some way. While growing up I played almost every sport I could sign up for, some I liked more than others but I can say I’ve given most of them a try. My main sports growing up were Soccer, Volleyball, and Fastball, while also doing dance for 11 years. Growing up there was always a practice, rehearsal, or a game to be at and it shaped who I am as an individual and made me fall in love with being active as well as being outdoors. This passion of mine lead me to choose to go to Camosun College for the Athletic and Exercise Therapy program. After two years I switched programs to the Bachelors of Sport and Fitness Leadership, specializing in Exercise and Wellness, this was because I found a passion for the health and wellness portion of my degree and grew to love helping people make a change in their lives and better themselves. I have just completed my degree and am continuing to grow as a personal trainer. Currently I spend a lot of time in the gym and doing CrossFit as well as continue to play Fastball through the summer. My goal is to be able to help people reach their goals as well as help them start their journeys to a healthier and more active life. Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t.
